Just back from YES camp..
Suddenly felt empty because camp was packed with activities..
The meetings, hymn singing and workshops were very meaningful and powerful..
We(tessa and i) kinda over packed but she over-packed for the wrong stuff..
And i brought too many shorts.. and a extra shirt..

Day One (Sunday)
I went for the sunday meeting.. rare like what John said..
Subway for lunch, went to cold storage for some last minute shopping then head back to church..
It was pouring when we were about to board the bus.. when we reach NACLI, the rain stopped..
My room mates are Celeste, Mary, Tessa and Sister Ee Han.. That makes the younger ones all the sec 2 sisters that went..

I'm in MOSES!!!!!!!!! With Chun How, Jonathon Koh, Shu Hui, Darren A, Tessa, Mun Sen, Mitchell, Rachel P, Aloysius, Bro Jia Yang, Sis Jia Min and Sis Woon Cheng.
Ice Breakers games were weirdly funny.. Tuna with bake beans?? eww..
haha but we had M&Ms.. yay!!

Meeting 1 -
Bro Tong Chia shared that in the Bible, it was recorded that God wanted to be the friends of tax-collectors and sinners, and that he even ate with them, but because people only see what's on the outside, they called Jesus a glutton and a winebibber ( Luke 7:34 ) which is not true..
He did all these because "it is not well that needs a physician but the sick"..

After supper, we mingled in the room..
played games and talked and had night-watched with room mates..
I saw a cockroach in the toilet and I just said, calmly, "there's a cockroach".. Tessa screamed, causing me to scream(she scared me), causing everybody else to scream(even sister Eehan).. Mary, who was EXTREMELY brave, took the bucket and trapped the cockroach underneath it..
Then we didn't know what to do, so we waited for Sister Eehan, she came in and she didn't know what to do too..
So Mary took the broom and pan and half-squashed the cockroach and swept it out, while we four cringed..
Then out of no where, there was a cockroach in sister Eehan's bag.. Sister Eehan screamed first, and Mary DID IT AGAIN.. I can't believe the other campers from the other rooms didn't hear us..
Tessa gave me her pillow and ended up using my soft bag as a pillow..

Day Two (Monday)
Heard Sister Eehan talking to Mary, then i woke up..
Had 5BX and it was really really tiring.. push up and stuff..
Breakfast was Chicken porridge and Nasi Lemak.. tes mary and i took porridge while celeste and sister Eehan had the other one..
Played MATTHEW MARK LUKE JOHN and finally over threw sister Eehan who was suppose to be the unbeatable..
Had a long walk to a place where we played Ultimate Frisbee..
We won every match except for the match with David (they're only good at sports).. Trashed by 7-0.. i was almost blinded if i was taller or a mm in front of where i stood.. was grazed by Eeshan.. he's very aggressive that's why other teams also lost.. But MOSES but up a great fight!!!

We bonded more during the indoor games.. played a few games, tessa was the rep twice for "Don't forget the (hymn) lyrics". . MOSES got both right without any life-lines and we were the only group that didn't use any!!!! yay..
Jonathan Koh told tessa, " you sang? It doesn't sound like you, voice so angelic."
tessa was so happy bit i had to remind her that that means she sound devil-ish normally.. hahahah i am evil..

I forgotten what we did in the workshop but later i went back to the room and changed into formal wear..
I looked weird wearing a dress and refused to come out of the toilet.. Put on tessa's jacket and felt better..
Meeting 2 was very powerful and touching.. it was about God and us having a 2-way friendship..
We cannot ask Him to do all the things for us but don't do anything for Him, God isn't a genie.. Abraham and God's friendship was a very close and intimate one, where God told Abraham that He wanted to destroy the city of Sodom, but Abraham prayed for Lot's family, and God agreed to let them live.. it was so amazing..
There was also a comparison of the slave girl and the 3 masters. 2 were bad, but the good one kept bidding for her, eventually she was sold to the good master for a very great price. The master, brought her to the black smith and broke the chains, he said to her "you're free now" and walked away.. Shocked, the slave girl ran after him and said she wanted to be his slave for us.. it is like us, Jesus freed us and if we want to go back and wander about, we would be a slave of sinners again..

Went back to room to change into shorts so was late and alot of people were waiting for food so we just helped.. My face was super hot chun how poured oil into the pit, thinking the fire would be bigger but there was alot of smoke.. *cough cough* but it felt good serving..
Had cup noodles because matthew brought some and sister min sze said we must have some proper to eat.. Mary wanted to eat too so tessa poured her's into a glass cup.. haha weird..
sister Eehan taught us another game about Mac.. but i can't get it right in chinese..
Was tired so slept early..
used mary's jacket to create 'Romantic lights'..

Day Three (Tuesday)
Morning watch was first then 5BX.. today's one wasn't that tiring but it's still crazy.. stomach hurting!! Today's MATTHEW MARK LUKE JOHN consisted of more people.. 14 sinners!!!!!!! all of us squeezing to fit one table.
Then check out..
during the workshop, there was some hymn singing and a sister suggested that those who were touched by the singing stand up.. I saw celeste standing so i did as wel(i prayed to God that if someone stood, i would too).. then tessa too.. God really answer prayers..
MOSES did our reflection and what we wanted to accomplish from today till the end of Dec/2008.. I wanted to have Morning Watches and read finish Mark and 1,2,3 John..

Photo taking and i was squeezed in between.. haha.. but it was cool..
Had the last lunch before break camp and took 200 to Buona Vista Mrt station with other saints..
it was cool..
YES camp rocks and GOD RULES!!!!!!!
